• Minimum one year commitment to the scribe program
  • Minimum 8 shifts per month
  • Required weekend availability (currently two weekends per month)
  • Required holiday shifts (currently four per year)

We will only consider candidates with a high school diploma (1-2 years of college strongly preferred), proficient typing and computer skils, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Scribes must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and must be able to perform in a high pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail. New scribes will go through a rigorous training program that will evaluate and develop their qualities, skills, and abilities.

Who are are

The Scribe Program offers a unique experience for those considering a professional healthcare degree. Many of our scribes are students and recent graduates from local colleges and universities such as VCU, University of Richmond, and Randolph-Macon College. Our scribes have gone on to gain acceptance to medical schools, Physician Assistant programs, and nursing programs, among others.
